Polyrene is a strong, floating rope made from a blend of polypropylene and polyester fibres. It combines buoyancy with toughness, abrasion resistance and UV stability, making it suitable for a wide range of marine and industrial applications.
Constructed from a co-extruded mix of polypropylene and polyester fibres, Polyrene balances the light weight and buoyancy of polypropylene with the durability and resilience of polyester. Available in 3-strand, 8-strand and 12-strand designs, it adapts to different handling needs: 3-strand for ease of splicing and coiling, 8-strand for reduced twist and excellent performance on winches, and 12-strand for smooth handling and flexibility in high-load operations.
Polyrene resists acids, alkalis, UV degradation and general wear, lasting longer than standard polypropylene ropes. It floats, is easy to handle and coil, and is widely used in mooring lines, pot ropes, trawl warps, fishing, shipping and industrial rigging where strength, buoyancy and reliability are essential.
