Super Braid takes the HMPE core and wraps it in a high-tenacity polyester cover, producing a lightweight, ultra-low stretch line for sheets, halyards and winch lines.
Super Braid is designed for sailors who want the strength and lightweight properties of HMPE with the handling and protection of a polyester sheath. The core is 15 times stronger than steel by weight and maintains very low stretch, while the durable polyester cover resists abrasion and provides secure grip through clutches and winches. Because the core is UV stable, the cover can be stripped in specific sections to reduce weight without sacrificing strength.
Super Braid performs beautifully in sheets, halyards, tow lines and wire-rope replacement applications and is easily spliced for a custom fit. For sailors and crews who need a reliable, high-performance rope with a supple feel, Super Braid is an excellent choice.
